Please pray for Johnnie and Elaine Colsten. They both have Covid but he has it really bad and was taken to Community Hospital in Munster. He is very sick.
 
His son posted a picture of him. He looks like he is recovering and has grown an epic beard - I'm talking ZZ Top worthy.

All those years reading the Scriptures for Bro. Hyles and working at "The old church downtown."
What a blessing Brother Colsten was.

I would love to know how many hospital visits, weddings & funerals he did in his lifetime.

I venture to say it may very well be a lifetime record for any one minister.

Another lifetime record?.....I wonder if there's ever been a Pastor to have baptized more people than Bro Johnny?.....
When the Fisk's moved to accept a pastorate ('78 or '79), Bro Johnny took Bro Fisk's duty of baptizing; he baptized all of the converts for a number of
years, and then he and Bro Moffitt shared the duties for the next 30 years, I'd guess.

I respected Bro. Colsten and enjoyed hearing him. Bro Moffitt is a good guy too, but let's get real for a moment. Those men where just doing what was assigned to them. Neither of them had anything to do with the salvation of any of those they dunked. Well, maybe a little harsh. Maybe they knew 1%. So there's a "record" for that? Standing in water, quoting and dunking. Over and over again. How many duplicate/triplicate's did they dunk?

If there's a "record" or award, it should be for somehow putting up with all the nonsense of the Hyles/Schapp years.

I'm off now. Flying Trump to our galaxy for a rally. When reelected, he has agreed to give statehood to the habitable planets in our galaxy. And since we all lean conservative, this will add about 1200 Republican Senators and 15,000 Republican congressmen. No need to "pack the court".
