A friend of mine and I were talking. He seems to take rejection way to close to heart. If something goes wrong at home he takes it personally. If something goes wrong at church he takes it too personally. He is a brilliant person. He has such knowledge and is aware of his capabilities but it seems he really blames himself for things that are not his fault or when things dont turn out the way it was planned he takes it as rejection. What have you come across that you can tell me to help him? Bible verses?

It's rather difficult to say, to such general statements.  "If something goes wrong at home" - does that include a lightbulb blowing out?  Hard to see someone taking this "personally" - I can understand someone getting upset if they just purchased the bulb.  If "trouble at home" means "fight with wife or children", then it probably is partly his fault.

Things don't always turn out the way we planned, or even the way it seems things should go.  Ecc 9:11 says "...the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all." -- it's called life.

Not sure if he is really blaming himself, but is really angry at God and blames himself because he doesn't want to verbalize that he thinks it is God's fault.

Why is he getting rejected? Can you give some examples?

If it is for the cause of Christ, then....

John 15:20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
