Streaming services, Cable, Satellite, Antenna, or no TV?

I have regular antenna TV and we also stream a few apps as well.

I don't have any of them, including a television.

I've never understood how people can put up with paying for TV reception and still put up with watching commercials.

I live up a holler, free Tv via antenna is not an option, and live TV (sporting) events are hard to come by without paying for some provider service.

Streaming for me, but I have toyed with getting rid of my news/sports addiction and the idiot box for years. Just.can’t.do.it.

Sometimes I prefer muting the box and watching the game on mute while listening to the radio broadcast.

To each their own. If you're willing to pay, enjoy. Me, I've gotten so sick of it all. The channels I like, and there aren't many, are all premium package channels and they still run commercials. Far as I'm concerned, their money can perish with them.

We’ve been hitting the mute button on all commercials for years. The only exception being the Super Bowl.

Some of us are old enough to understand that without those commercials, there wouldn't be any TV to receive. ;)

Cable companies pay the networks to distribute their signals. I doubt that's enough on its own to bankroll all the programs the networks broadcast.

When TV is broadcast in real time instead of on demand, since you can't pause the video, the commercial breaks are a long enough intermission to grab a drink, take a bathroom break, or flip channels to check on the sportsball scores. So it's a minor inconvenience at worst.

Who needs TV when there's the FFF?
If you think about it, the FFF offers everything TV does: entertainment, drama and charismatic personalities. There are thought provoking discussions as well as ample material to insult your intelligence.

Don't forget you get the occasional glimpse of nudity too!
