Skiing/Snowboarding

We've talked about taking a church group and coming to your neck of the woods for that sort of winter time fun for the last couple of years, but in the end, that's all it was, talk.  I've never been skiing or snowboarding, but think it would be more fun than trekking up the hills on foot like we do here when we sleigh ride.  I'm gettin' too old for that, but I think I can still ride a ski lift :D.

Lots of church groups come to the one near us.  They also have tubing for the ones who don't want to try skiing.

Our church does a lot of skiing an snowboarding activities

My children have never gone to one yet

We live close to a resort and the rates are great for school or home school groups.  When we home schooled, the group went once a week and the price included rentals, lessons, and lift ticket.  When the kids enrolled in a Christian school, we still get the same passes, but we have to schedule around basketball.  Usually, we have to wait for a snow day to enjoy the slopes.

Same here. They get a good rate

Just my boys have never done either and I am not sure how they would do. Or what they need to go

They would need whatever they would use for sledding.  For tubing, they would need their regular snow boots.  For skiing or snowboarding, the boots would probably be part of the rental.  I made my guys use rental stuff until they quit growing so much, then we started purchasing adequate skis and boots.  Once they became proficient as teens, we purchased the good stuff because it will last them for years.

I need to start collecting good snow pants and boots for them. We are going to be on the look out for equipment for cross country skiing items this garage sale season.  We have a park with amazing trails that the kids and I could go to

I snowboard, but I haven't been in the last 2 years - my son's too small to take out there with me and my hubby won't babysit of it.

I actually picked the college I went to after leaving HAC in part because they offered snowboarding as a PE class.
