Should we mingle with the world?

Should we mingle with the world?  To what degree?  Drink beer with them?  Smoke with them?  Dress like them and wear tattoos, piercings, etc. just to fit in?  Listen to their music?  Are we supposed to be undercover agents?

Did Jesus walk with the people?  Of course he did but he did not become like them.  That is the key.

I believe if you time warped back in time you would point to Jesus and mock him for eating with sinners. Forgive me if am wrong, but your post presents that mental image.

Well I guess God put 1 John 2:15 in the Bible by mistake?  Jesus ate with sinners and I do also but I do not try to be like them.  Do you?

We are commanded by God to love all the brethren, even those who are like Timothy.
