Hogwash, and I don't even have to state the obvious about "religion" (which isn't really religion).  My kids can make me happier than I can possibly describe.  Admittedly, they can also make me more sad than almost anything else.

Hello McFly?  It's sex and alcohol that results in kids, which generally get people thinking about going back to church!!!!

Those who depend on alcohol and sex for their happiness are not likely to think of kids as making them happy. As far as religion goes, it's only God that can be a true source of happiness. Religion is no different than alcohol, kids or sex.  Those things are like a two-sided coin - they can make you happy or sad.

French toast and bacon make me happy.

Bacon=meat candy

Alcohol(bourbon for me) sex and my children are wonderful gifts from God, thats why I enjoy them the way I do. Centering God around all of these and other hobbies are good gifts from Him and thank Him for them. God has to be the central point of our joy/happiness.

I really do!

His song "I Drink Alone" is much better.  Probably Timmy's favorite.

Amen.  Your recommendations for Bourbon were beyond my budget, but I tried a couple others.  I discovered I do like bourbon very much.  Way more than scotch, which I generally hate unless it's really old and really, really expensive.

Here are some others... Buffalo Trace, Old Weller Antique, Larceny. Never tried it but I hear Jim Beam Black Label is good

It was never meant to be a drinkers for Jesus thread but not surprisingly it turned into one.  FFF suffers from offtopicalism.

I don't know any drunkards, for Jesus or otherwise.

Ozzy thinks every drinker is a drunkard which would mean every eater is a glutton.

This is what happens when people confuse "joy" with 'pleasure.'

"Joy" includes pain, difficulty, hard work, disappointments, set-backs and heartache.  "Pleasure," at least the way the world knows it, is a substitute for "joy" that seeks to eliminate all these.  Ultimately, of course, it fails.

Yup.  It's really a confusion of definitions all the way around, including confusing lust with love.
