According to the Heritage Foundation all future Republican Presidential candidates will have to endorse some form of school choice or vouchers to get the nominations. Surveys show 81% of Republicans support some form of school choice.

Utah, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Florida all have some variation of school choice. According to Education Week, 29 states and the District of Columbia have at least one private school choice program

The total annual spending for public schools in the United States in 2022 was $857.3 billion, which was almost 8% more than the year before. The average per-pupil spending was $15,591 in 2022.

The federal government provides $119.1 billion, or $2,400 per pupil, to K-12 public schools. States contribute $383.9 billion, or $7,740 per pupil, and local governments contribute $375.2 billion, or $7,560 per pupil for an average total of over $15,000.

What do you think and is this a possibility nationwide.

Teacher's unions are going to come out swinging against school choice because they aren't nearly as interested in what students need. They are more interested in consolidating their power and influence.
