Does anyone at FBC know whether there are still Schaap loyalists remaining at FBC? Or even those deranged enough to write the man letters and receive his "prison epistles"?

That's staggering,...I'm assuming that you're serious. And if so, this man needs to have his head checked out and needs to repent.

I have heard that others write him letters still (which I cannot comprehend, since it's mainly because they can't stop idolizing him I suppose).

I'm serious. Ironically enough, SM supporting his best friend during the worst of times is one of the very few things I admire about him. To what degree he supports him is questionable, however.  And to throw other people under the bus in support of him is reprehensible.
It's a fine line.

I am afraid that if he came back he would find a good number of supporters still.

There are still many people there who believe that the girl involved was the demon who brought down the great Jack Schaap.  They feel sorry for him....after all, he's just a man. And, if he got out and came back, they would be there with their "Welcome Back, Dr. Schaap! We love you!" signs.

My stomach just turned.

I can understand their being a "few".  After all, you can't fix stupid.  It blows my mind to thing their would still be a good number of supporters.

This and what Bravo posted are what I'm getting at here...I don't care how many people say things are getting better at FBCH, I don't believe it in light of that. This is why I believe a huge split would be the only healthy option for the believers that remain at FBCH.

well, I go to FBC Hammond and I do not know a single person who would support JS were he to come back (which he of course won't, thank heavens) nor do I know a single person who would write to him. Of course, if I did know a person like that I would not associate with them, since I don't associate with cray-crays.

Let me assure you, the young people of the church who are the very future of our world are not fooled in the least. They are sharp young cookies who call a spade a spade, know the score, and think JS is right where he belongs.

On the other hand, while I have not one shred of interest / sympathy / connection for or to JS anymore, I can understand that if someone did consider him a close personal friend before all of this went down, they might like to write their friend and keep in touch during their friend's darkest hours. That is their business.

Brainisengaged, I don't know of anyone personally either but you and I both know the sycophants are there. There are two pages on FB that come up as suggestions sometimes, Remembering Jack Schaap and Friends of Jack Schaap. Both groups are closed now. I read a FB post where a young man 18-20 defended Jack Schaap as being the "greatest pastor in the world",... This was in the last 6 months I believe. So yes, I do believe there is a good number even though I've not heard it said personally.

Whether there are JS supporters there or not isn't the issue, just the thought of it gets the juices flowing and is great cannon fodder. that's all that matters, isn't it? ::)

Yes, thanks for your candor Bravo. I know personally of a couple of folks who write to him and have seen with my own two eyes on social media where young folks from FBC defended him within past year. Sickening.

I had wrote JS back in the early days, before everything came out when he was just in Porter County... It was just a keep your head high things are rough but will get better thing, nothing major but I have not wrote him since.

Sorry to be so blunt, but what possessed you to do such a thing? First of all, it was untruthful. Secondly, he was reaping what he has sown as it were.

I had family that was in prison (he just got out last month after 11 years). I knew from my letters to him how lonely it was. Also I had only known him for maybe 6 months before all of this went down I was blind and starting to sip on kool-aid, luckily this went down before I began to enjoy the kool aid and started asking for seconds.

Your honesty is refreshing.
