does anyone have a link to the letters that were written to the judge on his behalf?

click his name in search you will find them ............

They've been posted or linked on this forum several times. Try searching. Or you could even Google Schaap sentencing memorandum.  Pfft! Who am I kidding, you expect others to do the leg work for you.

Just go aheadvand click the first link from the Chicago Tribune.

Maybe I am just not technologically advanced... but I did spend about an hour looking yesterday.... I can find the Prosecution & Defense sentencing memos.... but can't find the 120 letters....

Will see if I can get the article when I am near a PC since the host file on my phone blocks that garbage.

Interesting.... I have not monetized the links. I will look into that

It is probably something else.... I do not see any injection in the source and the test to amazon does not include the "vig" tag.  Could be anything from Comcast, to a stupid app on the phone itself.  Let the hunt begin!

Thanks.... in the future, I get around the NWI Times limit by opening a Google Chrome Incognito Window :)

It may not help. I signed up for q 30 day free trial and the next day it demanded I pay. I used Google Chrome Incognito and it would not let me view articles. I now read the Post Tribune - what a bore!

I wonder how many he will get if he gets round 2.... I bet not nearly as many.

I'll say this... I had min. respect for him for "Stepping up" and taking it like a man... With what he is trying to do now... I hope he rots, I hope they do give him the trial, ad the Judge throws the book at him, meaning max time.... Based on what I saw with what he pleaded to could have landed him 17+ years so if it goes to trial they will tack all the other charges on him and he will probably get 30 years or more... And I hope the judge says for being such a pompous ass here's 10 more years.

The judge is a sober minded professional and Christian man so I doubt he will say that.

A Christian cant hate arrogancy, pride, and the evil way, like his God does?

Jam 4:6
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

I am just curious, but has anyone really read these support letters? I mean, here is a pastor who is guilty of an unbelievable perverted crime. I realize that many people had been friends and compadres for years but some of the statements seem bizarre to me. Wendell Evans said, "I am delighted to write a character reference". Mike Fish says that he and his wife were able to follow in the same wonderful holy footprints of Jack and Cindy. (or some such drivel)

I mean why would anyone say these kinds of things to a judge who is about to sentence someone to prison for sexual perversion?

When I read the letters, it threw me back to the HAC years! Sounded just like the stuff we were taught! Support that Man of God!!

I read the letters of support when they first became available. I will never re-read them. Those letters indelibly impressed upon my soul the sheer depraved absurdity of blind and unquestioning 'Man-of-God' support. I immediately unfriended anyone on FB if he or she was a letter of support author. I wish I had had the chutzpah to tell them why...but a great dividing line was drawn for me that day.

Long live the man of cod!

If you can stand it, go read Cindy's two support letters. In light of all that we now know, they are either incredibly deceitful or she was suffering from the worst case of denial ever. How does a severe case of prostatisis compel a man to molest a young girl? I would think it would actually inhibit or prevent the act.

I think my favorite is Janet Moore. She is disappointed, disgusted and sickened that the young woman's family wanted JS prosecuted. She taught her daughters not to go around seducing men 3 times their age.

Other stand outs are David Lutz and Cal Streeter. How did Cal graduate from medical school and spell so poorly?  Come to think of it, maybe he didn't.

So much stupidity and blind loyalty. It makes the heart go pitter patter.

That was definitely the one that put me over the edge, ballistically speaking, LOL!
