Recruiting pagans to bolster the church rolls!?

Are there any other kinds of members? Do they not all have desperately wicked deceitful hearts?

Christians over the centuries have accepted pagan influences into the Christian church, so why should we be surprised to see pagans trying to recruit Christians?
