"Radical" Christianity- The New Legalism?

I would say the author is largely arguing against a caricature, but in doing so, is making some very valid criticisms of the "radical Christianity" movement. A good article overall.

Hmmmmm. I totally agree with you!
Should one of us be concerned?

Here's another thoughtful article worth sharing (it's a two-pager-- don't miss the last).

The IFB my age (40) are drawn to this new legalism.  They can't speak a sentence w/o superlatives in it.  Everything ordinary is now special.  What once was their attempt to work to earn God's favor, is morphing into an attempt to 'positive proclaim' their way into God's favor.
Since it is built on the same pride, it leaves them exhausted and unfulfilled, just like the old legalism.  Now they battle depression, anxiety, and several new maladies, all due to the 'sugar high' wearing off.
  I hurt for us.
