"The Baseball Hall of Fame is something every player dreams about, but being a member of God's Hall of Fame is the greatest achievement of all.  God offers each of us the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.  When we accept God's gift of salvation, our name is written in The Book of Life, guaranteeing us a place in heaven forever."

"I made that decision during spring training in 1973, and prayed asking Jesus to come into my heart as Lord and Savior.  It was then that I first realized that when Jesus died on the cross, he died for me and paid for my sins.  Accepting his payment was all I needed to do.  I couldn't earn my way into heaven.  You can become a member of God's Hall of Fame too, by making the same decision today."http://www.garycarter.org/home.html

PRAISE THE LORD, he's not suffering with cancer now!

He was Mr. Expo. When I thought of the old Montreal Expos Gary Carter's name was synonymous with the team.

Thanks for posting that Alayman.

I've only been to a few ball games (never lived in a major-league town), but I saw Carter play with the Expos in '83. They smoked the Padres 8-0.  Other players contributed more to the win, but Gary Carter was the best part of the game to watch.  As long as he was playing for the 'Spos, they were my favourite team.

I drive by his home at least twice a week...............my husband told me he died and I started crying...........He loved the Lord and was very active in his church Christ Fellowship in the area.God be with his family during this time.

Pastor Marty sure did worship that player years ago on the other forum.
