What percentage of people who say there will come to church with you on Easter will actualy show up?

I enjoy our services whether it is Easter or Groundhog Day.

Binaca Chugger said:I am surprised that some think Easter (Resurrection Day) is Awkward. It is the celebration or memory of one of the most important doctrines of our faith. What's next? "Jesus" is too awkward, so we don't say His name in public? Next I will hear that the Bible is too old fashioned and it should be modernized into a comic book or a mini-series (Oh, wait, they did that).

I THINK CM means that Easter is not a normal service in most churches...and there can be a 'different' atmosphere on Easter Sunday.

Exactly. There's the potential for the unexpected at a holiday service, and that doesn't always turn out well. Holiday services can also run long and try the visitor's patience if he/she's not receptive to it. Even if it goes well, it might feel like "bait and switch" when the visitor comes to a normal service, especially if the members are extra friendly during a holiday service, but ignore the visitor at other times. I've had that experience myself many years ago (even though I was already a Christian). I visited a church Christmas service, and was treated very well. Then I was snubbed at the few services I attended afterward.
