There is a young woman in our church Laurie Elwell McCoy, a young woman - 2 young children had a stroke on Sunday.  From what I understand they were not able to get her the vital help within the first important hour after a stroke.  She is in Community Hospital ICU in Munster, IN.  They are hoping that what damage has been done is not permanent and they are currently giving her physical therapy to help her walk and talk.  I don't know what if any permanent damage has been done, but from what I understand, the right side has been effected.  I believe once she's somewhat stable, they will transfer her to the Rehab Institute of Chicago for intense rehab.  This is the daughter of Joe Elwell.  Please pray for her recovery and for her and her family, especially the kids.

Oh my goodness! So sorry! She has got to be very young. We just never know what we will face when we wake up every morning.
 
She is a '93 h.s. grad...so not even 40.
