Prayer request

Please pray for my niece's fiancee.  He was playing a pickup game of softball yesterday and running to first base when an errant throw hit him in the temple/head, which caused bleeding on the brain and swelling.  He's currently in the hospital and in serious condition.  My niece drove through the night to get to him, and as of now is still on the road.

He regained consciousness this afternoon, and was in and out of it.  Still not out of the woods.  Would appreciate your continued prayers.

He came to consciousness today, but the brain area affected has caused at least temporary speech difficulty, and he is not out of the woods as far as seizures and such.  Please continue to pray if you would.

I'll continue to pray for him and his fiancee.  One might not think a friendly game of softball could do so much harm, but I remember a man in my dad's AF squadron suffering a similar injury playing softball.  His injury was caused by a collision with another player, though, rather than a ball to the temple.
