I asked for the criteria several days ago of how the webbie objectively evaluates threads to be locked.  He didn't answer.  So people might know some ground rules for how you will consistently apply your expectations and rules would you like to answer now?

I did not have any private messages in my FSSL or admin accounts.
Was this question posed on any threads?

I hope this helps...........I went under search typed in Alayman name and the post clicked in #1 fighting forum.

Sherryh... yes, that was the question about the question :D

Someone pointed this thread out to me: http://www.fundamentalforums.org/the-fighting-forum/webbie-why-the-thread-lockdown-on-the-'registered-offenders'-thread/msg26093/#msg26093

It is clear to others why I locked down Biker's thread. I tried to resolve the Biker thread issue via PM, but he never responded back.

Alayman told me that he was willing to move along. He didn't. So, we (the mods) locked the threads, independently.

I raise this issue, not to tweak Alayman, but to answer his question, publicly.

I am sure that some out there think that this is not resolved. I will answer it with a sticky thread.

Thank  you for keeping the peace............there is a reward there somewhere  8)

I'm sure that's what ALAYMAN was referring to...and you did answer his question.  His problem is he wants to be able to set the criteria, and nothing short of you kowtowing to his demands will appease him.

If you had locked down a thread he wasn't posting in, he wouldn't have had an issue.

Ah a Christian mind reader! Only on the FFF

Yep!  I also knew it wouldn't take long for you to post a sarcastic comment!  I'm just that good.

That's about the size of it. I am aware of two posts reported by ALAYMAN (there may be more, but I didn't see them). In both cases, he wanted stricter moderation than we are prepared to do - and in fact in a PM he called me "insanely liberal" when I told him I didn't see anything particularly offensive in the first one.

When we say we do "LIGHT moderation," we mean that we will moderate however much it takes to keep the board civil, without restricting the freewheeling nature that has been part of the FFF from the beginning, and keep out the seedier elements of the Internet, like spam and chronic net.abusers.  If that's not enough for folks, they may find the stricter moderation of BaptistBoard or CARM more to their taste.

That's the thing.  You won't find ALAYMAN posting much on any of the boards with stricter moderation.  He wants that freewheeling nature, but only on his terms.  He wants to be free to offend others, but not be offended.

I try to post a sarcastic comment for every slanderous comment of yours. But I fear I haven't been able to keep up lately !

You're behind one comment.  Quit yer slackin'.

I'm pretty sure that if Freetobeme were to comment in a thread where I said that the sun rose in the east he'd find a way to claim it came up in the west.

As to Ransom's divulging info that was discussed in a private message without my permission, that has enough ramifications regarding his ethics and worthiness to objectively moderate.

But since the cat is out of the bag, I wonder if either mod will publicly address whether discussion of sexual climax matters are acceptable conversation for a Christian forum?

I'm not a mod but short answer:

It depends.

This renders the whole point of the discussion moot, but, to run chase that rabbit.....

You're obviously a product of Gen X or Millenials who have a broken filter, and think that everybody cares when you last pooped.

As someone else stated, are discussions about sexual issues something that should be avoided at all cost?

Naw, since we've all accepted the fact that you think the sun rises and sets on you, that wouldn't be prudent.

It's OK to say "orgasm" ALAYMAN.  It's not a dirty word.  Or is that too much of a "pagan" word for you?
