I thought it would be cool to ask everyone what their profile pic or avatar means to them. Pictures being worth a thousand words and all that.

I am a fan of all things Irish. I have scottish/irish roots. My picture is of some celtic cross tombstones in a graveyard in Ireland. I hope to visit that beautiful island before the Lord comes back.
 
Mine is just a picture of my username - a wheat penny.  I got the nickname when I was a teenager I used to collect coins on a shoestring budget and had tons of wheat pennies (I saved every one that ever came up in my change).
 
My avatar is the logo of the Progressive Primitive Baptists. It represents the following:

Cross -The risen Savior

Circular Figure -
    Seen as "G" - Representing "God", "Grace"
    Seen as "C" - Symbolic of "Christ"
    Seen as circular arrow - Christ comming down
          from and His victorious return to Heaven

Red - Represents the shed blood of Christ

Black - Represents our sins

Bro Blue, When I hear the Irish tunes I have tears because it reminds me of my grandparents......... :)

Yeah, there was a big dust up about it. She claimed that the red portion of the symbol was a devil's tail and I was showing Satan as having victory over Christ. Didn't matter what the truth actually was, she said that is what it meant and to her, that is what it meant.
 
Sherryh, I don't know how often you listen to irish music, but if you use internet radio like Pandora I would recommend creating a Celtic Thunder station. It will play a wonderful variety of quality irish artists. :)
 
The photo is a picture of my wife and me sitting on the seawall of San Diego Bay at the San Diego Yacht Club prior to a trip to Ensenada. In the interests of full disclosure the picture was taken about 20 or 25 years ago. I have aged considerably since then but my wife, of course, is as young as ever. :)
 
My avatar picture is of my "Tour de Cure" Red Rider cycling jersey.

I am a cyclist with diabetes, and when I participate in American Diabetes Association charity rides, the jersey helps identify me as a rider with diabetes. Other cyclists also ride with the Red Rider jersey and sometimes a loose-knit group of Red Riders form a mini peloton  during the ride.
