Not my church, don't know any further details.  Nonetheless, there's a non-trivial possibility that I know this man's name.  And assuming this "youth pastor" isn't a Roman Catholic, then the evangelical community on the Quebec side of the river is small and rather fragile, and a scandal like this might hurt my own church's efforts to establish a church there.

I hope your criminal justice system handles this better than ours did with the David Jorgensen case.

 
I found out more about this. I was wondering if it was an IFB church pastor (it wasn't).

Nope.  Peace Tower Church is a newer Pentecostal church, founded about 10 years ago and part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC - Canada's largest Pentecostal denom, roughly analogous to the AOG, for curious American readers).

This link tells you the guy's name, shows a picture and what church he was from.

I have friends and acquaintances who minister at some of the older and larger PAOC churches here in Ottawa, but I don't know anyone at this church in particular. At least on that level, and not to minimize the seriousness of the charges, I'm somewhat relieved that the accused is a stranger to me.
 
As well, the powers-that-be at Peace Tower Church seem to have dropped any mention of the accused (who also happens to be the founding pastors' son) on their Web site, down the memory hole.

Not impressed.
 
The corrupt and ungodly just keep on keeping on because the so-called saints just sweep another under the rug...sickening!

I know all about the PAOC - their headquarters is in my town. Lucky. Hugely influential and powerful in this town as well as in Canada.
This is also certainly not the first time some youth pastor has been this kind of trouble - it happened at the big PAOC church here some years back.
