The article is 3/4 true.

According to the Ontario Human Rights Code, "gender expression" is a protected class and the workplace is a protected area. Meaning the school board is most likely correct that Mr. Volleyball Udders here is immune from either discipline or criticism, which would arguably constitute discrimination and/or harassment.

I can't really say I blame the school here. If Udders lodges a human-rights complaint, they're in legal hot water. Canada's human-rights tribunals are intrinsically biased in favour of complainants. It costs nothing to register a complaint, while the respondent must bear the cost of their defence.

The HRC doesn't enjoin me from mocking him, though . . .

It would be interesting to see what happened if a teacher came into class wearing KISS makeup and a massive codpiece, calling it his "gender expression." I wonder how far you have to go before even the progressive chuckleheads who run schools agree it's a bridge too far? Laws protecting gender identity and expression were intended to protect people with genuine mental illnesses who are just trying to find their fit in society. I suspect that 80% of the gender-identity nonsense is various perverts and fetishists, like Udders, trying to game the system for their own gratification.

Also, the Halton District School Board's dress code prohibits students from wearing "clothing that exposes or makes visible genitals and nipples." A student couldn't dress like this. Why should a teacher be permitted?

I agree with the point here, but I would suspect much more than 80%. Sodom was all about the parade.

It appears to all be one big stunt. Maybe s/he is looking for a lawsuit against the school board for not accommodating his giant b00bs in shop class!

It's been rumoured that he's been doing this all along as a protest against the very policy he's been exploiting. He can be as ridiculous as he wants, and there's nothing the administration can do about it.

That said, whether he's serious or trolling, he can still just say he's "gender fluid" or some such, and the bureaucrats' hands are still tied.
