Nicholas Cage to star in reboot of Left Behind

I like Cage, but it's a shame the Left Behind story is based on a false interpretation of prophecy.  That spoils it for me enough that I couldn't watch the movie(s).

I like Nicholas Cage. But, honestly, he shouldn't play around with 'religious' films unless he himself repents and believes the gospel.

I read the books and enjoyed them, though I agree their interpretation of prophecy is off. That's ok, I liked it as an exploration of what it would be like IF that interpretation were correct. I'm a science-fiction fan.  :P

Anyway, Cage is a very good actor, and having him in the film should improve it.
