Dave Baker is pastor of Family Baptist Church in Columbia, Tennessee. He is the current pastor of Dave Hyles, and his church sponsors Dave Hyles' Fallen In Grace ministry of restoring fallen pastors to the ministry. (Posted for informational purposes only - I do not endorse this "ministry)."

Dave Baker has gotten some bad publicity locally, with regard to a sex scandal at his church and his association with Dave Hyles:
"Spires says that when she told Baker about the sexual assault, he asked her not to report it but to allow it to be taken care of in the church. Baker has refuted Spires' claim, emphasizing that he cooperated with police at the time. . . . Baker’s affiliation with Indiana pastor David Hyles, who has been accused of raping a 15-year-old while he was a youth pastor, has also been questioned. Hyles has never been charged. Baker confirmed that he runs a ministry with Hyles, Fallen in Grace . . . "

The highlighted statement is enough for me to pass by this church without a second look.
We were on the same floor in college and I've spoken to him a few times over the years in passing.

Oh my...Dave Baker and Hyles are just about 45 minutes away from us here in Bell Buckle/Shelbyville, Tennessee. Guess it's time to move back to Augusta, GA after all! LOL
