New Forum Admin

After the move of the forum to the new host, I've asked FSSL (Barry) to take over as admin of the forum. Its been a difficult decision for me to make and I have enjoyed the time spent on this forum. I have a very large technical project to complete by the end of the year and I need to focus all my efforts on getting that completed. All my remaining time needs to go to my family.

I started this forum with the sole intent on providing a place similar to the old forum where people could shared their beliefs without fear of being targeted. I've tried to remain neutral in all the discussions here while attempting to keep out trolls and sock puppets. I feel as I have been fair in doing this. I'm certain that FSSL feels the same way and will carry on what was started. I'm certain he will do things a little differently, but still maintain the level of administration needed to provide what was lacking from the Old FFF at the end. I am not selling the forum. I did not start the forum to make money and I'm not making any money in transferring administration to FSSL. I enjoyed the old forum for several years and when it fell into ruin, I wanted do what I could so it wouldn't disappear altogether. I hate that all the old content is basically useless at the old FFF since the change of ownership took place. That will not happen here. The new hosting is much better and can easily handle the growth of the forum. Thanks for all you kind words and support you've shown the forum. Keep up the good fight!

The admin is way too generous in not taking any money for this forum. The admin deserves alot of credit for what has been done at the admin's own expense.

I did not seek this out. In fact, I woke up one morning with a message in my inbox. I was quite surprised. I was overly active on the original forum and started here.

As the new admin... be assured, this forum will continue in the spirit of the current admin. God help me to keep as attentive of an eye on it like current admin.

I allowed the current admin to identify me. I am self-employed and in most cases work for myself. So, internet reputation is not as much an issue for me as it is for most. I know some are hesitant to participate in a forum where the owner is unknown. I will continue to protect identities as the current admin. I will not allow the disclosure of private information.

[*]Server upgrade: My server is a dedicated server. However, it is not dedicated entirely to this forum. The current server (Hostmonster) has over 2,000 websites. My server (managed through hostgator) has only 141 sites which I developed and manage.

[*]Moderation: I have contacted another person to help in moderating this forum. Moderation will continue to be very light. After the server transfer, that announcement will be made.

[*]Bulk Email Notifications: I will discontinue these. They compromise the integrity of the server as it relates to spam. Sorry... but I will not be sending you a birthday email. I cannot risk my server being identified as sending spam.

Congrats FSSL. Looks like the forum will continue to be in good hands.

To our outgoing admin: thank you for all that you have done to keep this forum free of the fruitcakes that plagued the old forum, and for keeping it running in good repair. Never knew who you were, nor did it really ever matter (unlike it did to some others), but I consider you a friend. Good luck with your project and may God richly bless it, you and your family.

Thanks to the current admin for giving us this forum....and saving the FFF from extinction.
I appreciate FSSL being willing to 'take over' the forum.
That assures the integrity of the forum going forward...because he has integrity!  :)

Well then... we are turning the rig back around! :D

Did you know my wife and I almost got mugged at the theaters behind the Olive Garden a few days after our lunch? 3 goons were going to jump us when I was on the phone. She pretended to have a gun in her purse to buy me time to get to mine. I will NEVER leave my gun behind!
