Tennessee primary for state house, state senate US house and US senate.

One of my dear friends that is an assistant DA won the Republician primary for our state house distruict. I was sitting with him in his office jawing about politics  this afternoon when the governor called him to offer his support. That was cool.

Our district had some interesting candidates: A less than popular incumbent, an ice-cream tycoon, an a 25-year-old progeny of a five term politician.

In my state (WA) we vote by mail now. That's been hard for me to adjust to. I'm not very, um, snailmail oriented. But I did my research, figured out who and what to vote for, and got my primary ballot in by the deadline!  8)

Would one of those have been Scotty Mayfield? If it is how did that turn out? I haven't heard.
