1. Did I hear him say it?
Did I see him do it?
Did I hear him say he did it?
If not I don't believe it.

I will post these one at a time to get my postings up.
I heard these in the 80s. I found these on one of the front pages in my NASB.
Who came up with these and why?

You just posted all four of them while saying you were going to post them one at a time.  What are you, a stinkin' (I love that word) Hacker!!  :)

While I believe this is a great place to start when dealing with an accusation, the fourth statement is crazy.  It must be that liberal NASB stuff.  :)

This is just number 1, it had all these parts to it. This is before Bro. Hyles went full KJVO. I always used a NASB from my High School days. Never heard of KJVO until the 80s.

"Never heard of KJVO until the 80s."

Keep reading the Bible and you never will.

When you are sitting in the church auditorium and you hear things like this, they make perfect sense and are very logical. When you ponder it for a while, it doesn't really make sense. After all, how many of us actually heard Richard Nixon give the approval to bug the democrat headquarters? Most of the stuff we believe from the news is stuff we never actually heard and saw ourselves.

I don't know Dave Hyles. I never met the man. When I was at hac I knew nothing about him except for some rumors and you were so busy you had no time to talk to anyone and find out. We were led to believe that he was totally innocent and that anyone who said anything about him or JH was an enemy out to destroy the ministry. In the past 25 years I have probably run into a dozen people who at one time in their lives went to fbch and some even worked in the youth department and they will tell you a completely different story. Some of them will even shake their heads at what was blatantly going on and how JH was confronted several times and got angry and chased them out of his office.

Believe me, when you are confronted with stuff like this from eyewitnesses it really makes you question most of what you were taught at hac and fbch.
