mauka to makai...

so........... in case you were wondering that happened to this thread...... or stumbled here by accident and are just curious as to what it was all about.................... this was a thread called mauka to makai.... ..... which in the hawaiian language means ..from the mountains to the sea..... ........ it was a mostly a collection of traditional and native hawaiian songs and music.... with pictures posted that i thought complimented the music......... but it also had other traditional musical works from other cultures all over the world...... ........ .....my primary reason for posting music on the forum is so i can open 2 windows and play music in one while reading threads and posting in the other........without having to be interrupted by youtube commercials..........

.....though popular with a few.....this thread wasn;t all that well received by most people here..... and not understood by others......... ........all songs and pictures were deleted in may of 2015....... at present there are no plans to restore either the music or the pictures........... but as with the other music thread called songs without words.... that could change if i decide to stay on the forum.......

Love this guys music! Even though you tell me he is sloppy on his slack key. Helps to be ignorant on these matters!  By the Way; You don't know how these kind of posts kill people who visit the islands and fall in love with them! It would be different if I only went once or twice but I have been able to go yearly for quite a while. I love the Aloha!!  Thanks for posting!

you are welcome... 8) ... but keali;i reichel is not that bad with his playing.....  it was keola beamer i thought had too many screetches in his playing..... keali;i is actually one of my favorites of all time..... and a favorite all through the islands..... 

You are right. These guys need to have names like Bill and George so I can keep them straight.

I just had no clue what it was about.
I'm not able to access all links until getting a desktop PC, and I don't have tons of time and with my brain injury I have to limit things like that. So I was just wondering since all I saw were tons of pictures that were so pretty but couldn't access anything else and saw no explanation.
