Man, I really miss staveoffzombies

Do we need someone to defend us from zombies?

Every forum needs someone to staveoffzombies.

It's a longstanding running joke.  Several years ago, we had a guy calling himself "staveoffzombies" who briefly posted to the ad-ridden neglected FFF, but after a while started complaining that he didn't want his friends googling his name and finding it on fundamentalist forums, so he asked how he could delete his account and all trace of himself.

So, naturally, several of us made it a project to make the FFF the #1 hit on Google for staveoffzombies. In fact, it's the top two. As I recall, he actually came back to the forum briefly to tell us how much he hated us all.

Some jokes just need to be revived every now and then.
 
Is it possible to still see that thread?  That was a classic.
 
Can anyone find the original thread that started it all?  I can't.
 
Depends what you mean by "started it all."

Staveoffzombies first posted to this thread to announce that he would be eating wings and drinking beer during the 2007 Super Bowl.

Later, in July, staveoffzombies asked that asked for his account to be deleted - because Google hits from the FFF with his name were appearing on the first page of search results, and he didn't want to be associated. This, of course, led to his becoming the forum's pet project - make us the top-ranked search for "staveoffzombies."

Then, he popped back in September of 2007 just to remind us how much we were appreciated.

Would the administration of this sight frown upon us trying to bring staveyzomb back to #1 on Google for the FFF?
 
I think I would rather have Milla Jovovich help me stave off the zombies. She did really good in the Resident Evil movies.
