** On Pierced Ears **

The students in Miss Smith's third-grade class were bombarding her with questions about her newly pierced ears.

"Does the hole go all the way through?" "Yes."

"Did it hurt?" "Just a little."

"Did they stick a needle through your ears?" "No, they used a special gun."

Silence followed, and then one solemn voice called out, "How far away did they stand?"

Oh, this brings back memories...I got my ears pierced at the tender age of 27 or 28 or thereabouts...

I had to hold the "baby teddy bear".  After the first piercing, I started giggling.  That's what I do when I'm really nervous, much to my embarrassment.  The poor lady had to time my giggly convulsions just right for ear #2 to be properly centered. 

She did a great job...but I squeezed the stuffing out of that teddy bear.  :-[
