I remember that this young man was preparing for the mission field, and recently I had heard that he was shipwrecked. Anyone know wth happened to this young fella?

Don't know who he is but if he was a missionary we have a history of missionaries messing up on the field.

Swallowing goldfish and always wearing a tie has never been very impressive to the native peoples of foreign lands.

The fact that more than a few are molesters or adulterers doesn't help either

You are doing quite well at raising your post count by asking questions about those whom you evidently know more about than any of us other posters know.

Congratulations!  Keep up the good work!

He's back at his home church faithfully serving and is a law enforcement officer.

Did he leave his wife and kids and they are now living with his parents?  I'm thinking you have the wrong Joshua Webb in mind.

So has he repented and been restored at his "home church"?  What did that process look like?

How long was the restoration/discipline process and who oversaw it? Hopefully part of his "faithfully serving" includes an active participation in the raising of his kids. Does he have 3 or 4?  I can't remember.

Well that's pretty damn convenient. Shipwreck your life and all of a sudden become an atheist!  You know how to spin a tight yarn!

Only a small percentage of atheist are atheist because of bitterness. Can't spin a tight yarn unless the yarn is loose already from it's tightness together as a yarn.

Wow. You seem really knowledgeable about this. What studies can you reference or was it your own research?
