Jon Jenkins Jr. Is he still youth pastor at Grace Baptist Church Gaylord MI?

Anyone know what happened to Jon Jenkins Jr.?
He has disappeared off of Grace Baptist Churches web site.
 
He disappeared about the time the JS situation metastasized.
 
Do you live in the area ? Go for a visit and ask people or better yet call the church and ask that's how we found out some info.
 
He left his dad's church sometime ,I believe in the fall of last year. He moved to Texas to take a job working with his younger brother Brandon at a construction company I believe. I heard it was a very high paying job. I know his dad was very tore up about it. To my knowledge he simply left for a better paying job.

Good for him! IFB have enough family run businesses called churches.
 
Praise God. I had feared he had developed IFBx Immorality Disfunction.
It has been so common in IFBx circles over the last 40 years.

Which would leave use skeptics of the IFB tricks to assume that some indiscretion took place in the youth group, he was shifted out of state for a while and then came back, but not to work with the youth.

Or, maybe he just thought he would get rich quick, but didn't like the work required in construction so he fled back to a cushy "job."
 
This thread got my attention for the following reason: Their youth director was a man named Derik Hagland (not sure how to spell it). He has a radio program geared toward young people and was on for a couple of years. Somehow he got promoted to college vice-president and whoop-dee-doo he is all of a sudden DR. Derik Hagland, vice-president. Maybe I can get me one of them there doctor cards. If granny from the beverly hillbillies can be a doctor and these guys can be doctors then I think I should too. ;)

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but Jon Jr. was never the youth pastor nor did he ever seek to be.

Derek Hagland was the youth pastor for many yrs and now the youth pastor is Bill Ramos.

Jon Jr. was over their music program if I recall.

Why must one assume something bad happened just because someone makes a change in career.

I don't know the answer to this, but I do recall hearing JJ preach a few years ago in my city and he talked about growing up with a daddy who was the preacher.....

Greg Ewing was at HAC when I was.  He actually looks the same as I remember him in college.
