I found this on a Facebook group's page. You may already know which group this is from.  I have removed her name as well as her husband's just in case she doesn't want her name published here. I know this has nothing to do with the legal situation but does give more insight into Schaap's character. He was/is just like his father-in-law (even worse I think) and brother-in-law.
The reason I'm posting in this is
1. Schaap has been branded as a pedophile which is entirely inaccurate - pedophiles prey only on children (pre-adolescent to be precise). He was clearly a sexual predator for years with no preference - just somebody on a power trip.
2. Not every one drank the Kool-Aid.  This lady didn't let herself be manipulated by him though it cost her in the short run. If she had and Schaap had been caught in adulterous relationship and was fired, he would be welcomed back not as a pastor of course (they can't go back on their word which was made public) - but he's probably going to prison for a long time. FBC may eventually be downsized and lose attenders (if they haven't lost some already) if Lapina becomes Pastor be default.  I heard that he's quite pessimistic about finding a new pastor - He has said that any one leaving their resume would have to be dumb enough to want the job. Nothing will change however - it will still be a Hyles church and that is tragic - I wonder if they will have to play old Hyles sermons just to get new people hooked. Sorry for the long commentary. Here's this lady's story below.

My name is J**** B**** (formerly J**** S*******) . I graduated from HAC in 1997. Up until 2009, my husband and I worked for FBC of Hammond. My husband was the Building and Maintenance Administrator and I was the Marketing Director for Christian Womanhood, both of us worked directly for Jack Schaap.
I have been silent and have been very selective of who I have shared my story with. I am choosing to speak out today because I have taken every step with grace and propriety to speak to those in leadership at FBC and they have chosen to continue to shun and ignore me despite a phone call and gracious letter. I have not been part of any open groups because I have been afraid of the condemnation and scrutiny that those who lurk and read here can aim at me. I am not bitter, I have forgiven Jack Schaap and there are many people at FBC I dearly love. I am deeply wounded and I pray by sharing what I am about to share that those, who like me, have been abused by Jack Schaap or the system of FBC would know that they are not alone and that there is no shame in their story. I am tired of carrying SHAME that does not belong to me to bear. I lost a dear friend because I was outraged that she shared my story because I was filled with fear and shame- I was outraged because those who are victims within the IFB system are consistently shamed, vilified and are made to feel like they are to blame for the abuse. They are never given a voice or an ear. They have not been protected but re-victimized when they have tried to say,

Brian, I am just curious but how old are you? You don't have to answer of course.
