This band was just at Ambassador Baptist Church in Fresno, CA. 

ABC claims to be an IFB church.  Now this is the type of behavior and music that used to be preached against that took place in the Calvary Chapel crowd, but now it normal for IFB?

When the video first started, I thought this was just some typical song of the world, and that this post was a joke.

Many IFB churches have been compromising on music; it starts with people adapting CCM music; to adapt the music, one must listen to it. It creates an appetite; they like it. They rationalize that since they are a good Christian, and they like the music, there must not be anything wrong with it.  The specials become less "adapted" and eventually, the distinction between the world's music and the Christian's music is no more.

On the other hand, a know a man who goes to an IFB church that has music like this for decades, and they still seem to hold to the old standards in other areas.

On the other hand, I know a man who goes to an IFB church that has music like this for decades, and they still seem to hold to the old standards in other areas.

How do they explain the contradictions?  You know, like separation....being a peculiar people....holiness....opposing worldliness?

He believes that music style is amoral, and that any style is okay as long as the words are OK.  His church didn't preach against going to movies (even 20 years ago when nearly every IFB did that).
