Hark! ’tis the Shepherd’s voice I hear,
Out in the desert dark and drear,
Calling the *sheep who’ve gone astray, [*lambs]
Far from the Shepherd’s fold away.

Refrain:
Bring them in, bring them in,
Bring them in from the fields of sin;
Bring them in, bring them in,
Bring the *wand’ring ones to Jesus. [*little]

Who’ll go and help this Shepherd kind,
Help Him the *wand’ring ones to find? [*little lambs]
Who’ll bring the lost ones to the fold,
Where they’ll be sheltered from the cold?

Out in the desert hear their cry,
Out on the mountain, wild and high;
Hark! ’tis the Master, speaks to thee,
“Go, find My *sheep where’er they be.” [*lambs]

Who exactly is supposed to "Bring them in from the fields of sin?"
Ultimately Jesus. But we are called to go and preach the gospel to every nation. That is in an analogous way, briging them in. Of course, we don't save anyone, but we can bring them to hear the word. So yes, it is us. Otherwise, how would they hear? If you're a wild eyed, hyper Calvinist, (Like Primitive Baptists at the Baptist Board), then you would not ever invite anyone, not evangelize anyone, nor go to the Nations. You'd expect God to just bring people to your assembly himself.

i don;t like ripping a single "verse" from scripture.... but rather than write an entire essay on luke 14... i will simply ask this..... .. who was Jesus speaking to when He said this in luke 14-23?....
..
luke 14-23 ....
"and the lord said unto the servant - go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled..".

are we not the Lords servants?.... and are the "highways and hedges" not also considered a part of "the fields of sin" ?
... seems simple enough to me...... .
