I believe there is truly "unconditional love" but it really falls under only one "scenario".

First, lets say God expressed Unconditional love in Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Yet, it is clear that mankind will never experience such love without committing to Christ. We can truly say God made the first move regardless of our action. Yet, God expect, Yea, demands a response from His own action. Thus, I can't say such is really "unconditional love". You may say it is.... but you're really getting into a game of semantics.

I do believe God expresses unconditional love to His own but not to any other.

Which brings me to a point......

God loved mankind to bring about their own action to seek them. As such, how can we truly say its unconditional?

God expressed His Love to change the "condition" of man. Those who reject His Love will experience God's destructive wrath.

Only with a God Who is sovereign in salvation and can save freely and completely can there really be 100% perfect unconditional love.

Think about it.

I was looking for a deep discussion... :)

Just kidding........

Let's come at it from another direction. Does God express unconditional love to the damned in eternity?

Also, can love die? I personally believe it can. It doesn't mean they one didn't love or didn't full express love. There are clearly actions that kill love. I know God is beyond fully knowing. However, I find it hard to swallow that God will love the eternally damned while finding satisfaction in their destruction.
