My pastor had to be out of town today, and I'll be filling in for him.  This ain't the first time, but your prayers for me (and the congregation :D) this morning are appreciated.  I just want to be used of God to help his people through the word.

Thanks, and may you and yours have a blessed Lord's day of refreshing worship too.

Speak from the heart and avoid knowing it all......the people will see and hear the truth. Praying for you this morning :)

You arent filling in for him, you are doing your part.

Before they call I will answer;
while they are yet speaking I will hear.
(Isaiah 65:24 ESV)

I am posting this Sunday afternoon so you have already finished preaching but since God is able to answer prayers before we ask I will pray for you anyway.

It wasn't a topic for considering which form of pastoral rule is best/right, but rather a prayer request.

Didn't see this request until now.  I hope all went well as you filled in for the the pastor………..did your part.  ::)

Just saw it.  Praise the Lord for the Opportunity.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to use the word "obtuse?"  ;)
