Btw, I am dead serious about wanting a Rammstein version of A Mighty Fortress is Our God. I think they'd be the ideal band for it. Their lead singer, Till Lindeman, has a terrific German singing voice, powerful and clear, and I think their musical style would suit it perfectly too. IF they'd do it.

For heavy power chords, the next best thing to a huge old cathedral pipe organ is a metal band.

Isn't Ein Feste Burg just Luther's original title in the German version, or am I missing something? I've seen a different version of the lyrics in English, courtesy of Michael Borg, but I don't remember the details.

I thought "Ein Feste Burg" meant something like "a happy place".  A bit of Googling proved me wrong.  That was
Luther's original German lyric...
