My wife and I were heading to Ohio on Friday and were driving past Indianapolis Blvd about lunch time.  I pulled off the interstate and headed down Indianapolis.  Wow!  It's amazing how much things have changed.  I did see Miner Dunn and the old drive in.  I shed a tear as I drove past the old Shakey's site.  There is now a steak house in it's spot.

If you haven't been in the area for several years you find yourself almost getting lost.  We ate at an Old Country Buffet and headed back to the interstate.  A short time, but a few memories.

Have not been in the area for over 13 years now! When I lived in KY, I would visit my parents in WI about 4 times a year. I would drive past a couple times. Once I stopped for a Sunday night church service. Kids didnt enjoy it...too long

I would recommend anyone who was in the area to drive down Indianapolis Blvd and drive past HAC.  You will not believe the difference!

It will be 35 years ago in July since the last time I was there.  Can not fathom the changes.  Of course I have changed a lot in those 35 years too!

I'm sure it's hard for you to imagine, but you would have to think about where you were.

We were in the area this past August. But we went to the college as well as tour the area. It had been 20 years since we had been there. We were very warmly welcomed. The Froelke's are great at alumni relations. I think they will be able to mend some fences.

I counted about 450 chairs in the chapel. Kind of sad when you remember the college at 2000. Prophets/Malone dorm still smelled like a bathroom that needed cleaning. lol.

Another sad thing was all the empty rooms. When I was a student every room that could be used as a office was in use. I was amazed at all the offices that were unoccupied. I missed the bowling alley but they had TV's mounted.

All the changes. One could Only Imagine. They ought to write a song about that!

If one did it would probably be contemporary.  :)
