This is Part 1 of an approximate hour and twenty minute video I shot in 1989.  There are HACkers galore in this.  See if you can name any of them.

I'll post other parts as time allows me to do them.  Enjoy!

I recognize a lot of the people in this. Gary Dice, Greg Lambert, the whole Wittig family, among others. I wonder where I was?

I'm glad I was busy doing something important (like watching my car rust) on that day.  :)

Who was the dude preaching?

I thought it was funny that when he went to school, nobody was pushing dope...He appears to be about 25-35 years old in 1989, so that means he went to school in the 70s. I'm sure nobody was doing drugs at school in the 70s.../s

The first guy was Terry Weaver. I am not sure who the second one was. It is kind of hard to go through 30 minutes of giveaways and them8 minutes of preeeeching.

In 1976, I was in the seventh grade.  Our K4-12 Christian school had about 250 students in it.

Just about this time of year, about 25 students got expelled for drugs, including at least one in my grade.

That was my second year in a Christian school.  Our small, local community school system where I attended grades 4 and 5 (in a town of about 1,000 people), showed us films on how to say, "No" and report any activity we might see regarding drugs.

Help!!  I can't take any more!!!  :)

I agree.  It's almost as bad as the Phoster Club presentations at Spectaculars of years ago.  I got so tired of clapping........

Oh My Goodness! I used to be a part of this kind of thing and it was exciting and I don't fault anyone for having the gumption to put all of this together but oh......

People would come in droves for the giveaways and whenever someone tried to preach they would back off in little groups and pay no attention at all until they were calling numbers again for another giveaway. It was like a party atmosphere for a lot of the kids (as you can hear). I don't think I would do this again.

Classic moment:  Go to the 10:06 mark right after Sprunger is done speaking. The MC asks the crowd if they are ready for another speaker.  Listen to their response.  :)
