That statement is one among few things that both real Christians and atheists can agree is absolutely ridiculous (but I'll be the pro-gay atheists will just ignore it because he's liberal - I know this because guys like Bill Maher never have a negative thing to say about Jimmy Carter - it's always against the religious right). So much of what passes for Christianity today is just man's imagination of what they think Jesus is thinking - nothing based on objective truth.
