I just read the following post by sword and I am deeply moved:
It is with great sadness & tepidetion I feel must announce my mentor, leader and role model on this forum appears to have become a little namby-pamby, pussy-foot, knit picking, back scratching, penny pinching, nickel licking, soft soaping, pink lemonade and tea drinking poster.
I have watched Raider since my early days of posting & have modeled my style yea my very being, here on the forum, after his leadership. I have watch his relentless posting in the most difficult times. I have seen him leads us in big days and set the example in the we hrs. of the mornings when most posters had fallen by the wayside. His post on holidays and vacation were extra inspiring to me, but now that seems to be no more. Raider seems to have forsaken us & his leadership I can no longer follow. I have been told his time here is scarce as he is spending time on another forum.
Where there is no vision, the posters perish...
A double minded poster is unstable in all his ways.
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Forum, then choose you this day which one ye will serve.
And the posts from Raider were rare in those days; there was no open vision.
Please tell me it is not so?
For many years I have been carrying the weight on the HAC FFF on my shoulders. Posters like Sword and BCH have held up my hands when I have become weary. I have tried to motivate others to post consistently. I have spent hours in FFF research. I have preached and practiced quality and quantity posting. I have watched posters compromise and post non-quality posts to try and get their numbers up. I have watched posters quit.
A few months ago after downing a large Shakey's pizza followed by a night of Binaca binging, I began to ponder, "Perhaps my dominate posting skills are discouraging others. Perhaps I have set the standard too high. Perhaps my daily and total posting numbers seem unattainable to other posters". At that moment I made the toughest decision I have made in my FFF ministry. I decided to back away and allow my numbers to drop. I realized that I have opened myself up to criticism. This is the chance I have taken to motivate the Hacker nation.
Hacker Nation, I have sacrificed for you. I have given up family time for you. I have been fired from 12 jobs for you. Now, I have allowed my numbers to drop. It's time for a HAC FFF revival! It's time to call out the deadbeats once again. It's time for me to say, "Hey, my numbers are now within reach. Get with it!!!"
