This is a question for those of you that still attend FBCH.  I know very little about Brother Wilkerson.  What are the main differences between Brother Wilkerson and his ministry strategies vs Dr. Hyles and vs Jack Schaap?  I have listed Hyles and Schaap separately because their ministry strategies were different from one another.

Hyles preached hard on standards and convictions.  Schaap did the same except he added a bunch of stupidity to the list.  How does Wilkerson approach this topic?

One big difference is that he shakes hands with people in the lobby after church. This was a big change. (Although Schaap did it in front of the church) it was a bit surprising at first,... Then the realization hit me, "Why is this surprising?" We should have been asking all along why weren't Hyles and Schaap doing that already???

They were too busy and important saving the world to greet and interact with the mere peons that paid the bills to keep the lights on.

I don't know why we didn't question much of what our former pastors foisted on us as genuine Christlikeness.

Pastor Wilkerson pastors the church like it's not a mega church. He remembers EVERYONE's name it's unreal. People love him.
He's not able to preach hard and bombastically due to health reasons. Plus it would totally contradict his personality. He's one of the best and most loving pastors I've ever had.
He's real. He regularly posts pictures of his family. This past Summer I was shocked that he posted a picture to social media of his boys in a swimming pool without their shirts on. I was quickly put back in my place as a staff member exclaimed that he is "real", not faking it. He's just a normal person who thoroughly and sincerely enjoys serving God.

He's the most humble man I've ever met.

He's put a huge emphasis on personal discipleship and developing a personal relationship for every member in the church.

And if it were even remotely possible(it isn't but I'll say it anyway), if any man on Earth could even remotely resemble Christ, it would be Pastor Wilkerson because of how real and sincere he is. I don't worship men, never have, but he is a breath of fresh air!

So yeah, he's cool. :P

My nephew went to college with Wilkerson, and said he is a great guy. But I have to say I really hope what you said is true, but I almost spit out the water I was drinking when I read your last sentence! I got the impression from your first post that you  worshiped anything HAC!

Well, the kgb was after Hyles so he couldn't shake hands in the lobby.

Plus if you wanted to contact his secretary for an appointment in his office it might be arranged. Not only did everyone there put him on a pedestal.......he did too.

Exactly, he said so himself, so, how could someone, even today, not take him seriously.
