Dramatic (and false) climate change predictions dating from 1870.  Yes, you read that right.  EIGHTEEN-70.  It's a shame they didn't include the story in the Washington Post from November 1922 about global warming, because they DO include stories from 1923 (one year later) about the imminent ice age.

I highly recommend this lecture from Cal Beisner, given at the Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary's spring conference a few weeks ago, that sheds a tremendous amount of light on the agenda of the environmental movement.
