Today Ray Young was selling Volume 2 of the Letters of Jack Hyles...hot off the press!  Get it while you can.

I already have several volumes of Hammond Baptist Pulpit, each volume has thousands of super thin pages of fine Bible paper and the print size is so small you almost can't read it.

I think I probably have many times what that book has in it sitting on my book shelves.

I no longer can handle reading the stuff in those books, I get flash-backs just picking them up.

They are chalk full of Bro. Hyles personal philosophy, things God never knew about, I sure don't need any more of that. I'm just going to stick to the bible.

I'll pass on it.

There's a volume 1?  Did the recipients of these letters give permission for them to be printed?  Are there any letters to Mrs. Nischik?

I'll stick to reading the letters of Paul, Peter, John, etc.

No doubt.

Jackie-boy's letters........are being published so that they can be lofted up on the little pedestal he built, by those who were hoodwinked by him long enough to keep his memory up where he wanted to be.

Do the parts in the quotes where people say, "you'll learn why we believe like we believe" bother anyone else? Don't we have the Bible for that?

Yeah, but the Bible doesn't cover most of what we really need to do to be right with God.  ;D

Who are these people writing reviews for this book? Kinda reminds me of those movie reviews from critics you've never heard of. :o

They are almost all staff at HAC.  A few others are kool-aid drinkers.

A couple are pastors, missionaries. Some are members of FBC, non staff. Some names I don't recognize at all. The gushing is pretty hard to fathom. Reading this book will help the cause of Christ? Wha???

I have to confess, I took a couple of trips to the Grand Lobby after the services, I wanted to see if anyone was actually buying this book. They were. And they were getting Ray Young to sign it for them.

I am not a Ray Young fan....never have been.  I don't think I would purchase the book, but if someone had a copy I would probably read it.  It would fall in the same category of Bob Gray's book about Dr. Hyles.  Hey, I would read it just to be able to give a review on the FFF!!

I think they grabbed some of the mission men. :o

They have a book store - sell them in the book store not the lobby of the church.  That has always been my beef with the church.  His books are old and outdated.  Maybe they've been in his basement and needs to have a basement sale to get rid of them.  8)

Still There I'm thinking the same thing LOL!

There is no man that knows JH like Bob Gray and they didn't even ask him to write a review, I'm not reading it.
