Romans 12:13b "....given to hospitality."

With all of the changes in society, has hospitality waned in importance?  Or has the venue changed from the home's dining room to a restaurant?

I believe we have lost the art of having hospitality...in south Florida you have to look far and wide..only people with manners...

We make hospitality a priority.  Every Sunday night we have folks over after church.  Usually, if a visitor comes on Sunday morning - they either get invited over the house or invited out.  We don't have a huge house and we have small kids, so it's never perfect.  But we find its indispensable for establishing connections and showing people you really care.

Pastor Ryan, having people over your home will let people know you care... its price less... good post

I experienced very nice hospitality in North Carolina.  Nowhere else, though, except the Monday night Chinese Bible studies here.

Being hospitable is hard work, but it is worth it.

It doesn't have to be, depending on the guest.  "Me casa is Sue's casa" or something like that.  :D  Make yourself at home.

Just said goodbye to weekend guests from the Northwest.  They said, "Don't change our beds, we may be back Wednesday so we can go to your church again and have some more home made bread."  lol
