Greeting saints, just curious, has anyone here ever heard of these two movements?

And also has anyone here ever been to a Messianic Synogogue?

I have heard of the sacred name movement.  I have been to a Messianic Synagogue.

I have been to a few of the Messianic Synagogues myself. And an acquaintance of mine got heavily into the movement. Not so much the Sacred Name Movement, but mainly the Hebrew Roots Movement. And started following the Old Testament laws like trying to keep the Sabbath and the Jewish Feasts and so forth.

Yep. No shortage of heresies, is there?

No, there is definitely no shortage out there of the false teachings and heresies, ( prosperity gospel, emergent church movement, Mormon, Scientology, Christian Science, etc). We are living in the time of apostacy and falling away in these last days, and it is only going to get worse. For evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived (2 Timothy 3:13).

I have heard the names, but know nothing of their content.

But I am to some degree familiar with Messianic Judaism, though I'm not a fan. In general, I think it's important to understand Christianity's Jewish roots, but Paul fought hard against Judaizing the faith, and IMO we should follow his lead.
