The Independentbaptis.com website for the past week or two has been hawking two new books. One is by Bob Gray and the other is by ............ ready............... Dave Hyles! They haven't said anything about the author but the book with his name has been prominently displayed for a while now. Does this bother anyone else? Should it not bother me? Has anyone else noticed?

In my opinion it seriously brings into question the credibility of whoever runs the site and the facebook page. They would probably go to jail before they would ever try to publish or sell a book by Erwin Lutzer but Dave Hyles is okay?

My best guess is that it is run by Dave Hyles.  It is protected by a proxy so this is just a guess but the writing and the M.O. suggest to me that it is he.

No, I hadn't noticed, but it doesn't surprise me. I long ago decided to steer clear for precisely these reasons. I wouldn't touch Dave with a ten foot pole.

Writings by a snake, who rejected everything that the guy about whom the book was written preached & taught.

In the south they hold rattlesnake round-ups. Too bad they can't include this snake also.

Sadly, it looks like some stupid IFB may still endorses him. That is unless, as someone else mentioned, he's the snake doing the garden of Eden "subtil serpent" replay in an effort to make himself look normal by establishing the website himself.

A snake has no shame. That bothers me.

Bob Gray has worked harder than any other HAC graduate I know to perpetuate the life and ministry of Jack Hyles. We can debate the merits of that or the methods of that but it is probably true. Dave realizes that, and has latched onto it. Dave's motives, of course, are his own.
