Hair too short?

I just read that article earlier this morning.  Now what is the young girl going to do?  She can't wear head gear in school.  No scarves/hats.  What an uproar that will be.  What would have happened if the young girl herself had cancer and had to shave her head??  Wait, boys have shaved heads!!  Why can't girls??  Boys have long hair??!!  Standards are standards!! 
 
I think the school relented.
 
The academy has a rule against shaved heads and understandably so, seeing what some shaved heads stand for.  However, I believe, had the girl's parents approached the administration and stated the reasons why she wanted to shave her head prior to its being shaved, there would have been much less media hype and the it's very likely, there would have been no one sent home in the first place. 

Same is true for most Christians schools with which I have been in contact, I believe.
