The past two years we've went on vacation in the Myrtle Beach area.  Both times that we've been there we've had wonderful worship times, mainly due to the poster known on here as Anchor giving me fantastic choices to pick from.  His helpfulness in selecting a good like-minded church to attend while on vacation is much appreciated.

This year we actually got to attend his church and meet him.  The rock and roll atmosphere reminded me of Thomas Road Baptist.

;)

Okay, maybe not.  <hehe>  Truly, the music that was sung by his youth staff from the camp he heads up was not only first notch, but a TREMENDOUS blessing!  The sermon was well-done too. Absolutelyfanstinkingtastik!  After church he invited us to stay at a dinner on the grounds and it was a marvelous feast.  The whole church made us feel welcome and right at home.  I look forward on our next visit to accepting his invitation to the camp ministry on the lake that he leads.

It's good to have such Christian fellowship, especially whist on vacation.  God's people are so good.

Pleasure was all mine.  Enjoyed the opportunity of meeting Alayman and his fam. Good people.

Since fundies don't go to the beach, trust you all had a nice vacation at the Carolina coast where the sand and water meet and people frolic in the crashing surf.

You're going to ruin any rep you had around here with comments like that. ;)

Well, me and Mrs ALAYMAN will have been married 20 years this July 4th.  We took a cruise to the Bahamas on our honeymoon, and I'm thinkin' bout treating my still beautiful bride to another cruise before she goes back to her teaching shackles.  Is it good for a fundy to take a cruise where there's booze being consumed, the slots are being played, and the top-deck is <ahem> al fresco?  :o

Is it good for a fundy to shop at Walmart where they sell booze and movies like Brűno?

The same principle would apply. Just don't partake of those things.
If you told someone you were going shopping at Walmart, he would not immediately think that you were going to buy booze.
Now, if you said you were going to a bar, even if you said you were going to get a root beer float, no one would believe you.

Glad you had a good vacation.
Sorry I missed you....got your message but had knee surgery that week.
Maybe next year.

I don't watch hellywood movies, drink, cuss, chew, or run with those who do, unless it's outside the watchful eyes of my fundy friends whilst on a cruise.  :D

I think there are scenarios in which it's best to not be observed associating with a certain element, for testimony's sake, but for the most part I do agree with you.

lol, ain't dat da troof.  Ya know the thing is, last year I didn't notice them anything nearly as bad as this year's excursion.

By the by, did you see the news piece the day before yesterday (I think) about the Wilmington police dog who was bitten by the criminal he was apprehending?  :o

Not a good time of the year for me to see any news, so I must have missed it.  Sounds very Wilmingtonian, however.  Those guys ain't right.
