I'm sure most of us have watched the American Pickers on the History Channel.  Two fellows travel the back roads looking to buy antiques and collectables.  They "wheel-and-deal" to try and make a buy.

I thought it might be fun to have our own American Pickers which we will call Hacker Pickers.  If you have an item which you wish to buy, post it on this thread.  It doesn't necessarily have to be an antique or collectable.  I will also start another thread for those desiring to sell items.

It will be standard practice that the buyer will pay the shipping unless other arrangements are made.  Of course, final details will have to take place between the buyer and seller via PM.

If you would like to donate any proceeds to the Raider Fund the monies will be used to purchase bricks in Founders Park at HAC.  :)

Does anyone have any Major League autographed baseball bats or balls?

I have an autographed Cal Ripken baseball with certificate. Not willing to sell it though.

Also, a couple years ago I was going through some junk and found a White Sox/Red Sox game program from 1982. I remember going to the game and getting a couple autographs. Low and behold, on the cover was the autograph of a Red Sox rookie named Wade Boggs. On the inside with the White Sox coaches, there was the autograph of Tony LaRussa. :)

I do have a few autographed cards: Mike Harkey, Robin Ventura, Bobby Thigpen, Ron Karkovice and a couple other no-names I think.

I have been collecting cards since 1978.  A few years ago I moved from cards to baseballs and bats.  I don't have Ripken yet.  Recently I have been concentrating on players that are "older" and in the Hall.

Last year, my father-in-law gave me a football that was signed by Bo Jackson. Apparently Bo was at a sporting goods store in DC and my father-in-laws dad grabbed a random football off the shelf and asked him to sign it. Was never taken out of the container (open-sided box).

I am going to this show in March.  Hope to get a few autographs.  I have a Fisk bat that I want to get signed.

A few years ago I was at a service at Gomez's church.  CW Fisk was one of the assistant pastors.  I approached him after the service and asked him for one of his favorite Jack Hyles' stories.  I had him sign my Bible.  :)

No there is no certificate just a ball that I got him to sign. It is not in the best of condition either

No problem.  Schmidt is going to be at the show I'm going to in the Spring.  From what I hear he is a tough autograph.  Doesn't do many shows.
