Makes no sense...it is the US flag/that will be at half staff...this is reserved for those whog ave themselves for their country in service &5:30 sacrafice...not for a singer...that's why he is cheapening the meaning of half staff...make sense now Mickey?

 
They seem to be making a big deal about her getting her start by singing gospel too. As if that will bring the attention away from how she died. She is no better than our military that gives their lives for our freedoms. She does not deserve the half mast...especially in light of how she died.

I agree. If they want to do something in her memory - they could rename the street she grew up on like they do with other celebrities who have passed on.
