Busy schedule coming up. Will try to catch up when I return so don't think I'm ignoring responses if someone thinks I'm avoiding him/her.

In the meantime, remember people are not "illegal" nor are they "animals". They are lives who matter and who are created in the image of my God. And Palestinian lives matter too!

Hmmm, I don't know... Jesus called Gentiles dogs and compared others to swine.
The Psalmist and Isaiah also called people dogs.  In Hebrew culture, it didn't get much lower than dogs and hogs! ?

Three times Jesus called people wolves.

We'll  miss you Smellin'. As conservatives should take things in context , so should all others.  Butchers, mutilators and murderous immigrants to whom the prez was referring are animals.

At the same time I will make sure I know the context of all the liberal quotes I hear.

We can't go too long without HACker Grafs so hurry back!

Still swallowing, consuming & choking on the lies of FAKE NEWS I see.

He may be a tad ?puffed up? since the Bee did a feature on him.... :)

Do the words 'serpents' and 'vipers' come to mind as well?
IOW, Jesus had NO problem calling people animals.

And the pervasive nature of Evangelical thought continues.

"Jesus said it so Trump is being just like Jesus!"

"Wolves", "serpents" and "vipers" were analogies referring to being deceitful. "Dogs" is something I've struggled with and he could have meant it as a derogatory term but if so, context shows he repented.

What Trump does (and has proven OVER AND OVER), he uses terms like "animals" to dehumanize those who are either foreign or non-white. Even this week his statement saying "Our ancestors tamed a continent...", making war criminals who stole the land of natives and brought instituted slavery is more proof of that. Not to mention his calling black players who kneel a "son of a B....". He referred to Mexicans as "rapists". If you care to know the truth, here is a list to show you what he really means by "animals".

And this is why Evangelicals voted for him (even if they claim to "hold their collective noses"): he is the embodiment of the core yet PUBLICLY UNSPOKEN beliefs of Evangelicalism.

And 35 years ago we would have only found this kind of clap trap in the pages of Pravda.  Bravo Comrade!

The rabbit hole of Romans 1 continues.  How enlightened we have become /sarc

How cute! The guy whose political party can't help but be influenced by the Russians is accusing me of Russian propaganda! LOL!

I didn't realize Romans 1 declares being opposed to oppressing people and calling out our racist Predator-in-Chief for his racism and lies is a part of the Romans 1 "rabbit hole". If it is a part of it, count me in as being anti-Paul!

Then again, you decide what is true and what isn't (as we all do, including myself). Romans 1 says nothing of the sort so you twist your "Holy Scriptures" to fit your bias. Another who make a biblical reference about which the topic is not even discussed in the passage!

How exactly is "... people are not "illegal" nor are they "animals". They are lives who matter and who are created in the image of my God. And Palestinian lives matter too!" a "lie of FAKE NEWS"?

[/quote]You & Chubby Checkers........."Twisting the night" away. Difference: Chubby is dancing on a dance floor but you are twisting Trump's words out into something different than the context of what he says.

Your awkward attempt to at sounding spiritual is a fail. What you are doing is apping the FAKE NEWS media's twisted liberal words & leandings, & that is not a fail.
